Pamela A. Joseph

Vice Chairman, U.S. Bancorp Payment Services
Pamela A. Joseph is chief executive officer of Atlanta-based NOVA Information Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of U.S. Bancorp, and vice chairman of U.S. Bancorp Payment Services. She is responsible for managing all operations of NOVA, U.S. Bank Retail Payment Solutions, U.S. Bank Corporate Payment Solutions, U.S. Bank Transaction Services, Elavon Merchant Services (NOVA’s European affiliate) and Elavon Financial Services (U.S. Bancorp’s chartered European financial institution). She is one of 13 senior executives who comprise the U.S. Bancorp Managing Committee.
NOVA Information Systems is the third largest payment processor in the United States, which specializes in providing integrated credit and debit card payment processing electronic check conversion, dynamic currency conversion and other value added services to more than 850,000 merchants in the United States, Canada and Europe through its European affiliate, Elavon. NOVA offers payment processing on behalf of financial institutions, independent sales organizations, associations and government agencies.
U.S. Bank Retail Payment Solutions and U.S. Bank Corporate Payment Solutions include credit, debit and small business card issuing as well as corporate and purchasing card issuing. U.S. Bank is the largest Visa branded gift card issuer, the sixth largest debit card provider, and the second largest purchasing card issuer in the United States. Joseph also oversees the ATM processing business, which services more than 30,000 ATMs throughout the United States and is owner of the MoneyPass surcharge free network.
Joseph is a 20 year veteran of the financial services industry. Before joining NOVA in 1994, Joseph served with Visa International as director over new market development, where she was responsible for VISA acceptance in the supermarket industry. Prior to her tenure with VISA, Joseph served for more than eight years in the banking industry with Wells Fargo Bank, where she held various positions.
In addition to her position at U.S. Bancorp, Joseph is a member of the board of directors of Paychex, Inc. a provider of payroll, human resource and benefits outsourcing solutions. She is a member of several VISA advisory boards, as well as chairman of Gift of a Child, an organization that helps foster children find permanent families. Joseph has been involved over the years with Families First, Habitat for Humanity and United Way.
Joseph earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Illinois. She resides in Atlanta with her husband and three children.
Stuart C. Harvey, Jr.
President, NOVA Information Systems
Stuart C. Harvey, Jr. is president of NOVA Information Systems and has executive management responsibility for the overall strategy, vision and operations of NOVA worldwide.
Mr. Harvey joined NOVA in April 2003 and based in Dublin, Ireland, led the company's international expansion, directing all business development and merger and acquisition initiatives for euroConex. He was subsequently promoted to executive vice president, international operations and executive vice president, business development before taking over the helm of the company in 2005.
Mr. Harvey brings to NOVA nearly 20 years of experience in the banking, banking technologies and securities industries. Prior to joining NOVA, he was a managing director with the investment banking firm of Piper Jaffray in Minneapolis. He is also a former practicing attorney having worked previously with two Chicago-based law firms.
Mr. Harvey is a graduate of Saint John's University in Minnesota, earned a law degree from The National Law Center at George Washington University and an MBA degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
Steve Stevenson
Chief Financial Officer
Executive Vice President, Compliance
Mr. Stevenson is responsible for all finance, accounting and annual operations planning functions at NOVA. He has the additional role of senior vice president, compliance. In this capacity, he is responsible for providing assurance NOVA operates in compliance with all regulatory requirements as well as identifying opportunities for process improvements. He joined NOVA in April 2000.
Mr. Stevenson has 25 years of senior financial management experience - including 14 years in the merchant acquiring business. Immediately prior to joining NOVA he was senior vice president and chief financial officer of Lynk Systems. Prior to Lynk, Mr. Stevenson was the controller for National Data Corporation including two years as its interim chief financial officer.
Mr. Stevenson is a certified public accountant and holds a master of business administration degree from Dominican University and a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from Georgia State University.
Christopher S. Kenyon
Executive Vice President, North America Systems & Technology
Mr. Kenyon is responsible for management of all aspects of systems and technology at NOVA, including application development, systems operations, and the processing network.
Mr. Kenyon was most recently executive vice president and chief information officer of First Horizon Merchant Services. He was previously vice president of merchant services with First Tennessee Bank, supervising technical support and customer service, as well as new account set up.
Mr. Kenyon brings 19 years of transaction processing experience to his role, having served in management positions with Nabanco, National Data Corporation and POS Technologies/Honor.
Mike Passilla
Executive Vice President, Business Development
Mr. Passilla is responsible for leading NOVA's multiple sales channels and managing its alliance bank relationships. He brings to NOVA more than 18 years of sales, marketing and consulting experience in building winning sales organizations and optimizing marketing relations.
Prior to joining NOVA, Mr. Passilla was chairman of the board of bConnected, a software company focused on improving the quality and efficiency of health care. Previously, he was president, North America of Inforte Corporation, a strategic management consulting company, where he was part of the executive team that grew revenue from $5 million to $64 million in four years.
Prior to Inforte, Mr. Passilla spent time at CSC Index, Pepsi, IBM, and the Walt Disney Company. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and earned an MBA from The J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
Elaine T. Baker
Senior Vice President, North America Operations
Ms. Baker is responsible for North America operations. Previous responsibilities with NOVA include Vice President of Operations Compliance, operational leadership of NOVA/USB integration, and Senior Director of Chargebacks and Account Establishment. Ms. Baker joined NOVA in 1999 and brings 18 years of management experience in sales and operations from multiple industries.
Before joining NOVA, Ms. Baker was Director of Marketing for KMPG Healthcare Consulting. She was responsible for developing the go-to-market strategy for the payer, provider, and life sciences segments of the industry. Prior to KPMG, she spent 10 years with IBM in various management positions in systems engineering and sales & marketing and 4 years with the Tennessee Valley Authority in customer service management.
Ms. Baker holds a Bachelor of Art degree with a major in chemistry and mathematics from the University of Tennessee. She completed The IBM Presidents' Class at the Harvard School of Business and holds certification in SAP Finance and Control.
Mindy Doster
Senior Vice President and General Counsel
Ms. Doster oversees the global legal department with attorneys in the U.S., Ireland and the U.K. The department supports the legal needs of all NOVA business areas including operations, business and corporate development and systems and technology. Ms. Doster joined NOVA in 1998 as assistant general counsel.
Before joining NOVA, Ms. Doster was an associate with the law firm of Long, Aldridge & Norman (now McKenna Long & Aldridge) and a law clerk for the Honorable Robert L. Vining, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
She received her juris doctor from Vanderbilt University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Duke University.
